| Nov 19 | (Cpnt'd.) The fleet ballistic missile submarine then continued on to the western Pacific, was based at Guam, and conducted deterrent patrols from Apra Harbor through 1972. |
1972 | Dec 31 | Woodrow Wilson shifted back to the Atlantic and another overhaul with C3 Poseidon missile conversion at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. She was then home ported in Charleston, SC. for operations with the Atlantic Fleet.

1990 | Jan 1 | After several overhauls in the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Charleston, SC., and 40 more deterrent patrols, the USS Woodrow Wilson was converted to the Attack Submarine SSN-624. |

1997 | Sep 26 | Woodrow Wilson entered the Nuclear Powered Ship and Submarine Recycling Program at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA., and on 27 October 1998 ceased to exist.
