1991May 6Keel laid down by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, VA.
1993Aug 28Launched.
1995Feb 24Commissioned with CDR. Jack Loye III in command.
2003Apr 15Toledo returned to the Naval Submarine Base, Groton, CT., after having taken part in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
2004Dec 7Toledo returned to Groton, CT., after a 6 month deployment in the Persian Gulf with the John F. Kennedy carrier strike group that included port calls in Crete, Dubai, and Bahrain.
 Dec 7(Cont'd.) Her route home from Bahrain was unusual, rounding the Cape of Good Hope rather than using the Suez Canal. Once back in the North Atlantic, she was diverted for a classified drug interdiction mission in the Caribbean Sea.
2006Jan 31Toledo again departed for a 6 month deployment to CENTCOM. Port calls included Augusta Bay, IT,Dubai, the British island territory of Diego Garcia and La Maddalena.
 Jul 31Toledo returned to Groton, CT.
 Aug 10A change of command ceremony took place where CDR. Goldman relieved CDR. Schnieder.
2008Sep 23Toledo is still on active duty.
