1945Feb 25Launched.
 Jun 28Commissioned with CDR. S.C. Loomis, Jr., in command.
 Sep 5Clamagore reported to Key West, FL. where she operated with various fleet units and with Fleet Sonar School.
1947Dec 5Clamagore entered the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard,Philadelphia, PA., for GUPPY II modernization and installation of snorkel.
1948Aug 6Clamagore returned to Key West, FL. to assume local and Caribbean operations for the next 8 years.
1957Jan 1Clamagore called at New London, CT. and Newport, RI.
 Mar 13Clamagore returned to Key West, FL.
 Sep 23Between 23 September and 7 December Clamagore took part in NATO exercises in the North Atlantic, calling at Portsmouth, England, and Argentia, Newfoundland.
1959Jun 29Clamagore arrived Charleston, SC., new home port.
1960Apr 5lamagore joined the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean for duty.
 Jul 1Clamagore returned to Charleston, SC. For the remainder of 1960 Clamagore operated off the East Coast.
1962Jan 1Clamagore became one of only 9 boats to undergo the GUPPY III conversion. She had a 15 foot hull extension added forward of the control room, a plastic sail and the BQG-4 PUFFS passive ranging sonar, which include the 3 sharkfin sensors on her deck.
1963Jun 1Clamagore finished her GUPPY III conversion, and was transferred to New London, CT.
1964Jan 1Clamagore participated in Springboard, 1964, visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico and St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
 May 30Clamagore entered the Portsmouth Naval Shipyrd, Kittery, ME., for battery renewal.
 Jul 1Leaving the shipyard, Clamagore visited Portsmouth, England. After an extended cruise, Clamagore returned to New London, CT.
1965Apr 1Clamagore departed New London, CT. for a joint NATO operation south of Iceland with British, Dutch, American, and French submarines and aircraft.
 May 1Upon completion of the very successful exercise, Clamagore visited Londonderry in Northern Ireland for a wash-up conference.
 Jun 1Clamagore returned to New London, CT.
 Jul 23Clamagore entered the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, PA.
1966Jan 1In early 1966 Clamagore was devoted to Springboard deployments and various other operational tasks.
1967Mar 1Clamagore entered the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME., for battery renewal. Upon leaving the shipyard, she joined the Fleet for a Mediterranean deployment.
 Dec 30Clamagore returned to New London, CT.
1968Mar 1Clamagore departed for extensive operations in the North Atlantic. Her efforts reculted in her 8th Battle "E".
 Aug 1Clamagore headed south toward Bermuda where she participated in SUBASWEX 4-69. After more local operations out of New London, she returned to the Virgin Islands for a Weapons System Acceptance Trial.
1970Jan 1Clamagore participated in another Springboard deployment followed by a battery renewal. Another Mediterranean deployment followed the shipyard period where she operated extensively with aircraft, surface craft, and submersibles from various allied navies.
1971Jan 1Clamagore operated up and down the East Coast, from Halifax, Nova Scotia to the Virgin Isalands during much of 1971. She spent the remainder of 1971 in New London, CT. in upkeep and preparation for her scheduled overhaul.
1972Jan 1The overhaul was accomplished at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, PA.
 Jun 1Clamagore completed overhaul. The rest of 1972 was devoted to a two month deployment to the Caribbean encompassing refresher training, type training and a highly successful Weapons System Acceptance Trial.
 Nov 1Clamagore completed a satisfactory Nuclear Weapons Acceptance Inspection.
1973Jan 1A month of local operations preceded a restricted availability at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME. for main battery renewal and a main engine replacement. During the availability, preparations were begun for the upcoming UNITAS XIV deployment.
1975Jun 12Decommissioned.
 Jun 27Clamagore was struck from the Naval Register and now serves as a Musuem Ship at Patriot's Point, Charleston, SC.
