Description
USS Grampus (SS-207) was commissioned 23 May 1941 and Sunk by Japanese destroyers in Blackett Strait, 5 March 1943. Grampus received three battle stars for World War II service. The U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II assigned USS Grampus (SS-207) to the State of California.
