Description
USS S-27 was lost when she ran aground off the coast of Amchitka Island, with no loss of life. The U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II assigned USS S-27 (SS-132) to the State of Idaho.On May 29th 2004 the Memorials to the USS S27 (SS132) and for all of the Submarine losses since 1900 were Dedicated in the city of Arco Idaho near the sail of the USS Hawkbill SSN 666
