U-505 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago
Description
the U-505—the only German submarine captured by the U.S. Navy during World War II — is now part of a new 35,000-square-foot interactive exhibit. A special behind-the-scenes tour of the U-505 will take place on select Sunday mornings. This exclusive, private group tour begins at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and presentation by a Museum curator about the U-505. Guests will then take a guided tour of the exhibit and on-board tour of the submarine. The tour lasts approximately 2-1/2 hours. Since general admission is included with this tour, guests may enjoy the rest of the day at the Museum. For pricing and tour details, please contact Faith Mulvihill at (773) 753-6853 or groupsales@msichicago.org. The museum has spent 36 million dollars to restore and move the boat to its present loca
