Monday, April 28, 1941   USS O-8 (SS-69) :  Recommissioned at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, Philadelphia, PA.
Tuesday, April 28, 1942   USS Saury (SS-189) :  Saury cleared Fremantle, Australia for her 3rd war patrol, but, 3 days later, a crack in the after trim tank caused her to return to Australia.
Tuesday, April 28, 1942   USS Trout (SS-202) :  Trout attacked a 1,000-ton patrol vessel or minesweeper with a torpedo which sank it in two minutes.
Wednesday, April 28, 1943   USS Seawolf (SS-197) :  Seawolf sank two 75 ton sampans with her 3 inch gun. (Exact date unknown)
Friday, April 28, 1944   USS Peto (SS-265) :  Peto and Perch, and an escort, sailed for her patrol area south of Formosa, on her 6th war patrol. She sailed from Midway 2 May with Perch and Picuda joining the wolf pack. Arriving in her area, Peto began looking for shipping worthy of her torpedoes.
Friday, April 28, 1944   USS Pogy (SS-266) :  Pogy sighted and sank the Japanese submarine I-88.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Tinosa (SS-283) :  Tinosa headed for Truk on her 10th war patrol. Her FM sonar equipment, which she had received while at Guam, remarkably improved her sonar range, and she gathered data on sonar performance throughout the voyage.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Chivo (SS-341) :  Commissioned with LCDR. William R. Crutcher, USNR, in command.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Pipefish (SS-388) :  During her 5th war patrol, Pipefish performed lifeguard duty for B-29 Superfortress aviators off Honshu, and in the Nanpo Islands area.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Sennet (SS-408) :  Sennet attacked a repair ship with 2 electric torpedoes. The first blew the bow off and the second hit under the mainmast. Hatsushima sank by her stern.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Trepang (SS-412) :  Trepang sank the 1000 ton landing craft Transport Number 146.
Saturday, April 28, 1945   USS Requin (SS-481) :  Commissioned with CDR. Slade D. Cutter in command.
Sunday, April 28, 1946   USS Caiman (SS-323) :  Caiman began her 3rd war patrol at Subic Bay, Philippine Islands. She sank 2 small schooners.
